Day 1, Beijing – Xian by flight

In the early morning, our guide and driver will meet you at your hotel and then transfer you to Beijing Airport to take direct flight to Xian. Upon arrival, our Xian local guide will meet you at Xian Airport and transfer you to hotel for check in. After a short break, our guide will take you to have lunch.

After lunch, our trip will begin with a visit to Shaanxi History Museum. It is one of the first huge state museums with modern facilities in China. Housing a large collection of historic and cultural relics, including murals, paintings, pottery, coins, as well as bronze, gold, and silver objects, Shaanxi History Museum will give you a better idea about ancient Chinese history and culture.

Then we will proceed to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a famous Buddhist pagoda in Xian which was built in the Tang Dynasty. Built with traditional Chinese architectural characteristics and profound Buddhist culture connotation, you will admire Buddhist Religion culture and its attractive architecture when visiting there.

Next we will move to visit Great Mosque and its nearby Muslim Street. Great Mosque is one of the oldest and most famous mosques in Xian. Its profound Muslim cultural background and atmosphere, together with its ancient history and traditional Muslim and Chinese style mixed architecture are what to see there. While the Muslim Street is a renowned Muslim community in Xian. At Muslim Street, you will not only taste numerous delicious local Xian snacks and Muslim food, also you will experience the strong Muslim atmosphere and their lives there. Today your Xian tour will continue with a visit to Terracotta Warriors and Horses. It is famed as “World’s Eighth Great Wonder” and the largest excavation of the 20th century. Those artifacts of numerous life size terracotta figures of warriors and horses with different features, facial expressions, clothing and hairstyles arranged in battle formations provide live examples to study the military, cultural and economic of the period they were made. You will get a fresh idea about Chinese ancient history and culture from this site.

After lunch, our guide will take you to visit Xian’s landmark, the Ancient City Wall. The Ancient City Wall is a famous landmark in Xian. The City Wall is the largest and best preserved Ming Dynasty city wall. Visiting the City Wall, you can not only learn city construction and architectural arts in ancient times. Also you can get some good views of Xian city.
